May’s Guidance was created to support students through the transition into adulthood—not just the college admissions process. Through personalized college consulting, persistence coaching, and life skills support, I help young adults build direction, confidence, and long-term success beyond acceptance letters.
As the founder of May's Guidance, I bring over a decade of experience as a college admissions and student success professional. Throughout my career, I have worked directly with high school students, transfer applicants, and adult learners to help them navigate complex educational systems and make confident, informed decisions about their futures. My work is centered on individualized guidance, structured support, and helping students translate their goals into clear, actionable plans.
My unique expertise spans both admissions evaluation and academic advising. I have reviewed applications for highly selective institutions, including Cornell University and the University of California, Irvine, utilizing holistic review practices to assess academic preparation, leadership, and potential. Additionally, I have managed extensive student caseloads in higher education advising roles, focusing heavily on retention, academic planning, and student persistence. This dual background means I understand not only how students gain admission to college, but also how to help them stay on track and succeed once they are there.
My approach is structured, practical, and student-centered, focusing on the clarity, accountability, and life skills needed to thrive academically and personally. I hold a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership (Higher Education and Student Affairs) from Eastern Michigan University, a Bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and an Associate’s degree in Psychology from Tulsa Community College. I am also a certified professional life coach and an active member of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC).
